Help w/ Ripping Sonic CD (and other Genesis games) PCM Samples - Nero1024 - 05-23-2013 I noticed that Wavosaur's Binary Import (aka Audacity's Raw Import) was able to decipher PCM samples from some Genesis games. The PCM's are 8-bit signed/unsigned samples, but on some games like Sonic CD and Pulseman produce a distorted mess that vaguely sounds like a normal samples. No matter what settings I use (signed/unsigned, 8/16-bit, etc) I get the same distorted mess. I doubt they're compressed the MD hardware doesn't have that kind of Blast Processing. I'd like some help in ripping the samples from these games. I'll be linking to a .zip file with some examples of some games that have working samples and some that don't. https://www.dropbox.com/s/sk6hja6ctotx2g7/PCMHelp.zip |
