BW2 sprite animations? - 3DG - 06-22-2013 Hello. I'm attempting to make a hacked version of Pokemon Black Version 2 and Pokemon White Version 2, but I'd like to also moodify and create custom animations for the pokemon and trainer sprites, but I'm having trouble finding a tutorial for it. Can someone help me out here? Thanks. RE: BW2 sprite animations? - Baegal - 06-23-2013 A tutorial on how to animate the sprites? I don't think there's a specific method, but it seems like the sprite is split up into parts and they're simply rotated or resized. so, you have hand1, hand2, leg1, leg2, head, etc. all as individual parts and for each frame they're stretched, skewed, rotated to however fit. In terms of animation, it tends to be a simple loop that lasts 2-3 times and then a different one, then back to the simple loop (ex: hop, hop, hop, pose, hop, hop, hop, pose, etc). This is all speculation because I don't know how they're arranged in game, but this is what it seems like to me. Is this what you meant? RE: BW2 sprite animations? - 3DG - 06-23-2013 Well, I'm kinda actually looking for a tutorial on how to make the animations so I can put them into the game, not by making them gif images or flashes. Man, this is going to be harder than i thought. Thanks for trying to help, though! |
