Opening Cinematics - DarkWalnut - 09-25-2008
Opening cinematics...
Something most gamers tend to skip through, I would think, however always get watched on the first time a game is bought.
And that would be the case with me.
After purchasing Dewy's Adventure (I have only played the first level so far due to my brother and not enough time) I decided to watch the opening cinematic.
And can I just say, "HOLY SHIT."
This has absolutely NOTHING to do with ANYTHING!
It starts off with a little boy singing some song, and then there's this random lady with a book there.
After talking to the girl, she asks the boy if we would like to hear and story.
And obvioulsy the boy sits down.
Does the little boy even know about stranger danger?!?!
But enough of that.
We are all aware it is quite the crappy opener.
So, what opener's have you seen that sucked?
On the flip side, which one's have you seen that made boggled your mind?
I can defenitely say, once again, Dwey's Adventure's opener...
Sucked.

I was incredibly dissapointed with Smash Bros Brawl's intro. Unlike the first two, there was absolutely no original footage (it was all gameplay clips and rehashed SSE clips), it had the lamest version of the game's theme, and it didn't have the announcer scream SUPER SMASH BROTHERRRS BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLLL at the end like the last two
On that note, Melee's intro is pretty awesome.

Best opener I've seen would have to be Custom Robo for the GC. Look it up on Youtube. It's got awesome graphics and a kickass fight scene.

The starting scene for Megaman X Command mission was very nice looking
too bad that was the only good thing about the game
