Ocks (PLAYER) - Baegal - 05-26-2014 Ocksford (AKA Ocks) Ocks is a fast, lightweight character. His attacks are all item centered, which he randomly and conveniently spawns for use in battle. Mid range. Though his moves don't pack much of a punch, he can flail around rapidly and jump high. Out of 15 *s: Health: **** Attack: ** Defense: ** Speed: **** Jump: *** And as a bonus, I have some scraps! All of the files are saved in this .zip for quick use. (Mediafire) Recently, I added some more things as well (which are not in the .zip) Left mugshot is the most recent one, with tiny icon to the right the "!!!!!" box is for the pre-battle speech bubble (like before engaging) ":U" Is for a taunt "G-GUH" Is the lost bubble I still have some things I'd like to add (like some more mugshots and maybe redoing a few things) but they'll all be kept up to date in the OP. RE: Ocks - Chris2Balls [:B] - 05-26-2014 I really like the idea of there being more speech bubbles! Also the 15* system seems like a good standard. I'm impressed by the presentation of your attacks, they illustrate your intentions well. Excellent job Baegal RE: Ocks - Baegal - 05-26-2014 Thank you C: I'm currently updating the reference/tutorial thread, but I'm just saying the sheet isn't TECHNICALLY finished, considering it's missing some minor things. The essentials are, however, finished. RE: Ocks - TomGuycott - 05-27-2014 Ocks has been one of my favorite characters to play as in my demo. The physics of some of the moves are currently slightly different than in this thread, so I hope they haven't gone too far off model. I'll be posting the next build of my version soon and you can let me know what you think. Also, for the moment I made the Statue move a Gognio move, I don't know if you'd want to switch that later. RE: Ocks - Baegal - 05-27-2014 Yeah, I did the animations to show how I think it should look in the game The statue is supposed to be just a regular special. I don't COMPLETELY understand GOGNIO, but if it's what I think it is, I think there'll be a different special in the future. Granted, I don't mind it much myself and I'm not really willing to change such an awesome reference. With stuff like the Youth Roll text I can make it immune to mirroring and place is as a separate object above Ocks when he performs the move. This one's unique arc though makes it impossible to do that though. I'll let you decide how you want to approach that, I'll do whatever you decide. I'm not loving it to be honest :U RE: Ocks (PLAYER) - Omnikariz - 05-27-2014 well, ive noticed something regarding this attack: while it works for all characters with legs, (or in lexou's case, electric-mantaray-lightning bolt-thing) it doesnt really make sense with PK's character, since he doesnt touch the ground so, its up to you if you want to do something about that, i just figured id point it out if you havent noticed already RE: Ocks (PLAYER) - Kitsu - 05-27-2014 Maybe he smacks pk on his way up or maybe pk voluntarily trips because he's a fair gentleman like that (or maybe it misses PK and that's like one of PK's "passive abilities") RE: Ocks (PLAYER) - Baegal - 05-27-2014 :I hmmm I think a simple smack pk on way up cheap fix would work in this situation or if when it comes to tweaking character abilities that could be something cool for PK. I mean, I completely understand your point, it's just I really don't think it's reasonable to redo a move for one character. Worst case, I'll worry about that once everything else is finished thanks!
