Needing help on getting ROMs working on regular DSi - Quirby64 - 06-06-2014 I finally decided to try it, and there's problems already. I downloaded Moonshell to "convert" the ROMs to work on the DSi, but the files of it (Moonshell) I get don't work. Also on my list of problems is that I'm trying to open the Homebrew channel via DSi Sound (like videos say), but it "couldn't find compatible files". And, I'm trying to do this without buying a R4 card, because I'm seeing numerous videos around the internet saying you can. >.< So..I know this is a lot but if you guys can give me some tips on getting this to work, that'd be great. RE: Needing help on getting ROMs working on regular DSi - Maxpphire - 06-08-2014 We're not really here to help people pirate games. I mean people can link to ROMs and Emulators and talk about them, but if you really want the games, Please buy them and support the people who made them. Actually, people definitely can not link to ROMs. Emulators are fine as there's nothing intrinsically illegal about them, but discussion about obtaining ROMs, and especially links to them, are explicitly forbidden. I remember there being a debate about this and it ended up with "We aren't hosting them on our site, we are not saying you should use them, but you may link to them" was what ended up being the final ruling and thus was changed in the rules. It was a few years back when this happened. RE: Needing help on getting ROMs working on regular DSi - Petie - 06-08-2014 A remnant of times past. Those rules need to be amended. There's just too much risk involved in facilitating the acquisition of illegal goods, no matter how you try to cover yourself in the process. RE: Needing help on getting ROMs working on regular DSi - Vipershark - 06-09-2014 I'm reopening this thread. After some discussion, it's okay to ask about how to get roms to run. I admit that all I can find are old threads with people saying that it isn't possible "yet", but if it was possible it probably would have been figured out by now, and I can't find anything saying so. So yeah, I'm pretty sure this isn't possible and you'll just have to buy a flash cart. However if you really are determined to make sure whether it's possible or not you could ask on GBATemp, the people there would know better than anyone.
