Mario Kart Wii - redblueyellow - 07-03-2014 Hi there, how's it going? So I'm in the process of ripping the course maps from Mario Kart Wii, and I ran into a bit of a hurdle. I'm about 95% done, but for some reason whenever I try to get the course maps from Delfino Pier and N64 Skyscraper, Dolphin decides to crash without giving the texture dump time to view the desired texture. Here is my current progress on the sheet, with only the aforementioned maps missing: The files will be 220x220, and in order to have them show up, you should only need to have it show up on screen. The only thing I can offer at the moment is ripping from the game of your choice, assuming the game is able to be ripped from. That and obviously adding your name to the sheet via credit tag. For anyone that is interested in fulfilling the request, feel free to take your time. It shouldn't take long at all, but I am in no hurry. RE: Mario Kart Wii - puggsoy - 07-03-2014 I feel a bit stupid suggesting this to such an experienced ripper like you, but can you find the textures by looking through the ISO with Dolphin (right-click on ISO -> Properties -> Filesystem)? They might be in a weird format but for such a popular game I'd expect there to be at least some info on it somewhere online. I'd give this a shot myself but I don't have the ISO and it's a pretty huge download. If you find the files though and need help with them you can upload them here. I looked through the Race > Course folder to see if they might have been stored there (along with a few other places), but couldn't find any 2D elements in the texture files. I'll do a more extensive search since it's bound to be there somewhere, all the files are the generic, readable format. RE: Mario Kart Wii - redblueyellow - 07-03-2014 So I checked all the files and the closest thing was map_model.brres. Unfortunately this didn't come up with the correct images, but instead was a model version of the course maps. I did find all of the textures neatly organized though, so I'll have to submit those soon. |
