Final Fantasy V iOS - Technobliterator - 07-13-2014 Hi, I'm from the Final Fantasy Wiki, and I was just wondering how one would go about ripping the sprites from the Final Fantasy V app on iOS? It's been done using Final Fantasy VI before, but we don't know how to do it for V. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. RE: Final Fantasy V iOS - Koh - 07-13-2014 The only thing I could think of would be to take a series of screenshots, and crop the sprites. As opposed to ripping them straight from the app? Because there was a way to do it for VI. Specifically ripping from the iOS app package. Hm. RE: Final Fantasy V iOS - Mystie - 07-13-2014 What kind of file format does this game use? Our problem is just that we can't open those with anything but the app. RE: Final Fantasy V iOS - Dazz - 07-13-2014 Seems to me that there are a number of PNG files within those .bin files. I've never really been all too good with dealing with png files, but you might be able to find someone who is. All I managed to fathom is that the data is stored in a number of ways, kind of randomly, throughout. I got some portraits, but that was all. There were a couple images not totally screwed up. Maybe this might help? RE: Final Fantasy V iOS - puggsoy - 07-13-2014 Could someone upload a couple of .bins? I could download the .ipa myself but I'd rather not download all of it to only look at a couple of files. RE: Final Fantasy V iOS - Deathbringer - 07-13-2014 It's has all the bins that are in the game, because frankly there is no way to know which ones actually have the relevant data. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ombskow9tdc1z8b/FinalFantasy5.app.rar RE: Final Fantasy V iOS - Technobliterator - 07-14-2014 Thanks everyone for the help so far! Really appreciate it ^.^ Anyway; if it's impossible to see which ones have the right file, then I guess the best way to find out is trial and error? |
