Best Emulators - LooneyTunerIan - 07-13-2014 Which emulators would suit best for ripping sprites from: Arcade Sega Genesis Game Boy/Game Boy Color Game Boy Advance RE: Best Emulators - Shade - 07-13-2014 (07-13-2014, 09:30 PM)LooneyTunerIan Wrote: Which emulators would suit best for ripping sprites from:Can't say about the others, but Visual Boy Advance is the supreme choice for GB and GBA. RE: Best Emulators - puggsoy - 07-13-2014 I personally use Gens11b for Genesis ripping since it gives the proper palette, can disable layers, and you can choose the background colour with an LUA script. RE: Best Emulators - LooneyTunerIan - 07-13-2014 Can it Disable Sprite Layers just to show off the backgrounds? RE: Best Emulators - puggsoy - 07-13-2014 In Gens11b yes, you can disable and enable all the layers available, so you could remove all the sprites and only show the backgrounds. If there are different layers of backgrounds you can fiddle around with the Scroll A/B and Low/High layers to figure out which is which, and rip them separately (for example if you're indoors and can see scenery outside the windows, you can disable the scenery layer and rip the walls and windows, then vice versa to rip the scenery). RE: Best Emulators - Dazz - 07-14-2014 Visual Boy Advance is best for Game Boy, and Game Boy Advance. Gens11b for Genesis MAME for Arcade (Pretty hard to get set up unless you really know what you're doing) Each uses different ripping techniques using these emulators, so you'd be best reading a tutorial on them if you can find one. RE: Best Emulators - Mystie - 07-14-2014 Here are some tutorials to help get you started: Genesis/Megadrive Game Boy Advance Arcade RE: Best Emulators - OldGamer - 07-21-2014 well My best ripping for emulator are snes9x VBA aka GBA GenPlus and for arcade is winkawaks 1.63*cps1,cps,2 and neo geo* RE: Best Emulators - LooneyTunerIan - 07-23-2014 MAME may be a bit hard for me to control due to Game Loading Problems. ![]() I can't load the Road Runner Arcade game up to play. ![]() BTW, what's the best emulator for Game Gear? RE: Best Emulators - Magma MK-II - 07-23-2014 MEKA. It emulates Master System, Game Gear and SG-1000. RE: Best Emulators - LooneyTunerIan - 07-23-2014 Does MEKA use cheat codes? RE: Best Emulators - Magma MK-II - 07-24-2014 Not that I remember. RE: Best Emulators - LooneyTunerIan - 07-24-2014 People to make Emulators that allow Cheat Codes to be activated. Confidentially, the only way I'll be able to sprite stuff is if you activate cheat codes. What I need is an Emulator for Sega Genesis and Game Gear that allows Game Genie or PAR Cheat Codes. RE: Best Emulators - LooneyTunerIan - 08-13-2014 Question: If MAME is a good Arcade Emulator, how do you load a game on the emulator? Like Road Runner for example? |
