Applying MTL file to a rip - vinnyz500 - 05-31-2015 This is my first ever post on this site so i would just like to start off saying hi ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Applying MTL file to a rip - Chris Shade - 06-02-2015 What program are you using? Can it load .dds files? Because all the textures in the mtl file are dds files RE: Applying MTL file to a rip - vinnyz500 - 06-02-2015 I'm using maya, that might be my problem. I'll check the plugins when I get home RE: Applying MTL file to a rip - Chris Shade - 06-04-2015 you might have to convert all the dds files into png and then edit the mtl file to change all the dds to png. RE: Applying MTL file to a rip - Wonderman532 - 06-14-2015 You'd may have to rip the textures with dolphin (if its the GCN rom) & make a new .mtl file with all the textures in it mapped correctly The textures should be saved to Dolphin/Dumps folder (i never used the texture dump util before, so idk where it exactly is.) they should be in .png format. RE: Applying MTL file to a rip - TGE - 06-17-2015 The obj should have the material library filename listed somewhere inside of it. That's the file it tries to load from the same folder the obj is in. If it's not there, or the mtl isn't in the same folder as the obj, then it won't load. Also I doubt Maya doesn't support DDS, almost any decent program supports that.
