Guy's 3D doodles - Guy - 06-02-2015 I've always been really drawn in by those crisp pixel textures, mixed with lowpoly 3D, and so i'd like to start practicing doing more of it. Starting up a thread to keep track of my progress, here i'll be doing said lowpoly stuff, combined with some more complex things, alongside a dab of scenery practice. previous work: Mother3 RE: Guy's 3D doodles - Kitsu - 06-02-2015 The hatch on top of the tank looks off since it's rotated w/regards to the rest of the model but everything else looks plain awesome RE: Guy's 3D doodles - Guy - 06-03-2015 (06-02-2015, 10:18 AM)Kitsu Wrote: The hatch on top of the tank looks off since it's rotated w/regards to the rest of the model thanks for pointing that out, yea i'm not sure why I did the hatch like that, went back and fixed it up, i'll post the update some other time. Today's model: Slippy (Starfox) Figure my biggest problem is getting faster about making models, I don't do enough of it at the moment. RE: Guy's 3D doodles - upandover - 06-15-2015 Really nice work. Keep it up. RE: Guy's 3D doodles - ronny14 - 06-19-2015 I have a soft spot for low-poly pixel models, I love your use of vibrant colors as well. Something seems off about the tank, but it's probably what Kitsu said. Excelent work! Are the textures original? RE: Guy's 3D doodles - Struggleton! - 06-19-2015 I like how your textures are very toonish/colored lightly, it brings out details of other parts of the model RE: Guy's 3D doodles - Guy - 05-20-2016 Finally back to post some more, it's been a long time coming! Recently my artistic drive has been higher than ever, I started this the other night, hoping to get it textured and finished pretty soon here. Scene is at 1,414 Triangles. thank you for your comments guys, it helps motivate me! RE: Guy's 3D doodles - Ton - 05-20-2016 These are great! I really love the Mother 3 stuff! You should submit! RE: Guy's 3D doodles - Guy - 05-21-2016 Just about done with these guys, have to unwrap/texture Venusaur and setup a small background and I can call it good. Well, those observations just work for the Front, on the Side pic it looks perfect, but when i check back the Front pic it looks weird, but anyway they look awesome (On the side e.e) Btw, he is Red right? P You gave me too much inspiration, thanks RE: Guy's 3D doodles - Guy - 05-21-2016 (05-21-2016, 09:37 AM)Khyze Wrote:(05-21-2016, 06:19 AM)Guy Wrote: Just about done with these guys, have to unwrap/texture Venusaur and setup a small background and I can call it good.Wow, both looks awesome *-* I would like to know how many Vertex, Poly, Faces, whatever have those Models Thanks for your input, yep that's Red, and glad to hear it's inspiring to you, makes me happy to know that. Red's triangle/polygon count is 448. Pikachu's tri/poly count is 216. Venusaur's tri/poly count is 604. Also I fixed Pikachu, realized he looked really skinny + strange proportions, went with the classic fatter pikachu. I'll have to make Red's eyes bigger on the texture itself, and squeeze the face in a little bit, the smaller eyes make his face look much fatter/larger than it is, like you said. RE: Guy's 3D doodles - Guy - 05-23-2016 Alrighty! feels good to have this one done, I'll try to continue to post more, I can't guarantee when however. The scene itself is based off another artist' picture, which Is what inspired me to make this whole thing. Anyway, ill look into your future submissions RE: Guy's 3D doodles - Guy - 05-24-2016 (05-23-2016, 04:26 PM)Khyze Wrote: Ok, it looks perfect o.o i guess if you jump some frames it looks like sprites or pixel art o.o I use Blender for all of my 3D modelling. I actually did quite a few pokemon models for Pokemon Generations: Nah i'm not interested in doing modelling for free anymore, only as hobby or commission, but I wish you luck. |
