J-Shinn's NES rips are TERRIBLE!!! - birdmanager6 - 08-25-2015
So, you know how J-Shinn has been ripping an incredibly large amount of NES games? Well, it turns out that most of these are incredibly bad. Most of them are filled with some or many missing sounds, as well as random noises that never play in the game. Why are your rips so terrible, J-Shinn??? I don't know your ripping method, but it's clearly not working very well!

You know, mister manager of birds: if these rips are so terrible, maybe you should give NES sound-ripping a try. Who knows - your rips might turn out better!
(Honestly though they're sound rips from the NES, what do you expect? Crystal-clear HD symphonies from a 30 year old game console? lol)

J-Sinn's method is ripping them directly from the ROM. They may not be 100% complete, but they are extremely quick and efficient to do and are honestly better than nothing. I think it's very unlikely for most of these to be ripped otherwise.
Of course, if you or anyone feels like they can do a better job, by all means it is encouraged.

Also on top of that, call-out threads are dumb and against the rules. If you have an issue with submissions on the site, either bring them up here or make a thread asking if someone can re-rip them (or, as others above said, learn how to rip them yourself) that is not an outright rude jab at another member. Like seriously that was pretty uncalled for, as I'm sure J-Sinn does the best they can. They at least tried, and as puggsoy said they are better than nothing.
