Tombmonkey's Corner - tombmonkey - 11-12-2015 Been a while since I submitted anything, let's make a thread to show off a bit shall we? Current project is Dragon Fin Soup, hardest part of ripping this game has been playing the damn game to make sense of the stuff, game is not that good and is buggy to the point that several systems were unusable at launch (and there's an off chance of you getting trapped in a room that unlocks when you kill all enemies in the room, and are spawned with a teleporting enemy who will say FU and leave the room). The animation is not that good, some loops were obviously rushed, and they didn't bother to give the characters facial expressions at all. Still I like the character designs and the renders have a claymation feel to them that I like. Robin Fon Tanuki Hanako Chan Thomas Ghost 1 Koi Fish Goblin Boar The buildings are also quite pretty if you ask me. Gentlemen's Club Robin's House On other developments, I have entered the top 50 in TSR, yai me RE: Tombmonkey's Corner - Dazz - 11-12-2015 It's been a while since you've been around eh. Glad to see you're back! I remember that you were organising some sheets that I managed to extract some number of years ago. Welcome back! RE: Tombmonkey's Corner - tombmonkey - 11-13-2015 Yes, quite a while ago, I still have those rips zipped up, along tons of stuff I have ripped across the years, I will get to them, eventually A few more from Dragon Fin Soup, at 300 sheets I get on auto-approve right? Succubus Vampire Vampire Lord Link's Knockoff Gidrom Working on something I've wanted to do for years, but couldn't because the technology wasn't there yet (Satourne has good ripping aid tools, but doesn't save states and is crash happy, SSF display resolution is a distorted 2x size), but with the psp version of the game and PPSSPP I Can set the display resolution at 1x and finally grab some assembled sprites in the correct size. RE: Tombmonkey's Corner - tombmonkey - 11-15-2015 Goddammit fml! I was ripping this lady from the psp version of the game: ... and just now I learn about yabause-rr, which is a pretty good saturn emulator with save states, has correct display resolution and can disable layers, not only that, but emulation seems far more accurate than the saturn game being emulated on a PSP being emulated on a PC. For those animations above I had to capture loads of video to try to get her to do her skills out of the foreground layers and with no ui overlays, and had to resort to redraw chunks of some frames. My dissapointment is not having to rerip her, I would glady start over with better tools, the problem is playing the goddamn game up until she shows up again, she's a LV60 boss, showing up some 15 hours into the game Fuck it, I will rip a LV1 dohdoh, oh wait, those assholes don't get their critical until LV35, so I will rip a myconid, those don't have critical as far as I know. Yes, I mad. RE: Tombmonkey's Corner - tombmonkey - 12-01-2015 Is there a way to quickly make those icons to link sheets here? Anyway, since I have submitted a few sheets since last time, I will just link the games -Curses n' Chaos, made possible by Ploaj's tool, Paul Robertson animated the bosses http://www.spriters-resource.com/pc_computer/cursesnchaos/ -Deep Dungeons of Doom, superbly animated http://www.spriters-resource.com/pc_computer/deepdungeonsofdoom/ -Duelyst, online game that made the headlines when it switched to F2P while it promised it would never be free on it's kickstarter http://www.spriters-resource.com/pc_computer/duelyst/ RE: Tombmonkey's Corner - puggsoy - 12-01-2015 When submitting a sheet, if you click "Add Another" instead of "Submit", then it'll bring up info about the last sheet you submitted. Included in this is the BBCode you can copy-paste to show the icon, linking to your sheet. That's about the fastest way. If necessary it'd probably be possible to make a small program that generates the code for all sheets from a game but... that's probably overkill RE: Tombmonkey's Corner - tombmonkey - 12-01-2015 That's either a mod only feature or doesn't work in firefox. RE: Tombmonkey's Corner - puggsoy - 12-02-2015 Ooh, right. That only happens if your sheets aren't pending, which is if you're site staff or your account is flagged for instant approval. My mistake. You could copy-paste it from approval PMs (quote the post to get the source text) but that'd be a hassle for a lot of sheets, defeating the purpose, and you might have those PMs disabled anyway. |
