Looking good
but one thing, I animated it to see the flow (easier to see wrongs, it wouldn't save so I couldn't post it here..) and the lines between yellow-red / red-purple makes it look very odd

The smash ball never glows such a bright yellow color in its hue cycle.

Ok, so if I'm reading this right, you guys want me to get rid of as mush empty space as possible, make the yellow less bright, and have the yellow to red to purple blend together more. Is there anything else I can do to improve it?

Yeah, get rid of the black outline and use a colored one (use a Smash Ball reference image if need be).
