XSB/XWB in Ultimax - Skyla Doragono - 04-22-2016 Hey guys, trying to come back with something I've been putting off for awhile, mostly because I don't even know where to start. I've just decompressed some of the .pac files in the SE folder for the game, and each one has a .XSB and .XWB file in them. The .XSB seems to be some kind of controller file or something; probably responsible for when the other file plays? Either way, the .XWB file seems to be the actual sound files to be decompressed. I've checked the header, and the header has DNBW in it? Not sure what that is; googling didn't give me much. Here are the files; I've included the XSB file too, just in case that may help: http://www.mediafire.com/download/mzf27orfb2abzds/seam.xsb http://www.mediafire.com/download/yuf6fd1c3zgytfh/seam.xwb http://www.mediafire.com/download/kr1cr604t24yabx/sebc.xsb http://www.mediafire.com/download/9daibhgo959em51/sebc.xwb RE: XSB/XWB in Ultimax - Pingus! - 04-22-2016 The XSB files contain the compressed file names, and the XWB files are compressed bits of some sort of ADPCM I THINK. The XWB files can be uncompressed and can be grabbed here. It will out put *.wav's with a header of "RIFFP/x60" and a tag of 0x5249. If someone could help in looking up where the tag can be found so the data blocks can be swapped with this one, it would be useful. Thanks! ~Anex RE: XSB/XWB in Ultimax - Skyla Doragono - 04-26-2016 I tried looking, but this is a little beyond me. Anyone tried anything? I've been researching after different articles, and the only thing I found was something about Octave: http://octave.1599824.n4.nabble.com/wavread-problems-ploting-tools-using-octave-classes-in-C-td1623802.html Donno if that's useful, but that's all I've found so far about it. RE: XSB/XWB in Ultimax - Skyla Doragono - 04-26-2016 I... wow, that's... way beyond me. EDIT: Got some help elsewhere, and it seems to be working. I'll have files up soon. |
