I have problems revising - Sunny Cassette - 07-09-2016 Hi, im new here bascilly and i was getting some sprites and editing for a better look, but many of them dont post them, why? Here im gonna let some examples: In my version is a background, i fixed some problems and deleted big and i deleted the sign from the original author... RE: I have problems revising - Petie - 07-09-2016 If I'm reading this correctly, you're basically saying you submitted a revision adding a blue background where it wasn't necessary and deleting the original submitter's credit tag and you're wondering why your revision was rejected? I honestly think that speaks for itself but you also received a PM stating the exact reason it was rejected, quoted here for your convenience: Dazz Wrote:You removed the user's credit tag. We can't allow that. RE: I have problems revising - Sunny Cassette - 07-10-2016 Oh, im 100% that messages wasnt before... anyways thats not everthing for example a fix a little problem that have the sprites Ok, then if i dont remove the original tag, then i you can submitt? In the real world, this is called plagiarism and can get you in trouble when writing a paper, or even expelled from universities. I mean this is like "fixing" a painting by covering up the original author's signature with a sticky note. Sure, credit tags are dated, but like - people put them on the sheet for a reason. To be honest, I wouldn't mind if our spritesheets were revised to have colored backgrounds so it's easier to copy-and-paste them into Photoshop - but you shouldn't be erasing the evidence of other people's work. Sure, we could do something more 20th-century, like I don't know, EXIF tags, but let's pretend it's 2003 and none of us know what that is OK RE: I have problems revising - Sunny Cassette - 07-10-2016 (07-09-2016, 11:10 PM)Petie Wrote: If I'm reading this correctly, you're basically saying you submitted a revision adding a blue background where it wasn't necessary and deleting the original submitter's credit tag and you're wondering why your revision was rejected? Ok, first im not trying to steal work, and second, if i dont delet his signature you will put my version? RE: I have problems revising - Petie - 07-10-2016 You'll need to justify why it's being revised. The addition of a blue background isn't really a fix, it's a personal preference. Revisions are approved or rejected based on their merit so explain what you're changing and why it needs to be fixed. I dont only put a blue background i fix other little problems and i update the icon, but its a little hard describe what was wrong wiht the image (im not english), i could say what i did? its more easy RE: I have problems revising - Shade - 07-10-2016 It looks like the snowman picture was stretched a pixel too tall in the original sheet and was fixed in the revision, so that's something. RE: I have problems revising - Petie - 07-10-2016 Like I've said, the changes you're making need to be justified. If you're not making significant changes (or those changes are detrimental, as it seems the one you made to that Pokemon sheet are), they'll be rejected. Ok, but the pokemon you can accept it anyways, that version is much better, the other have inncesary waste space :/ RE: I have problems revising - Petie - 07-10-2016 Except that you removed content from it. It's now less complete. RE: I have problems revising - Sunny Cassette - 07-10-2016 (07-10-2016, 02:06 PM)Petie Wrote: Except that you removed content from it. It's now less complete. I deleted 3 sprites and i have excuse: 1. The ghost sprite its not a trainer, it more like a pokemon that btw is here: http://www.spriters-resource.com/fullview/8727/ 2. Red and the old man sprites were deleted cause they are not trainers, is just his back, they should be here: http://www.spriters-resource.com/game_boy_gbc/pokemonredblue/sheet/8730/ |
