Windwaker Textures - quint - 07-17-2016 So I had my first dabble in ripping the other day... Going by this video I was able to extract a few files I wanted (I'm planning on 3d printing all of Links items). One part that didn't seem to come out is the textures. For example, I got the mesh for the grappling hook exported as a 3ds file along with 3 tga files but no texture shows up in Rhino or 3d max16. What step am I missing? (btw: I shared the modified mesh here:- Thingiverse) RE: Windwaker Textures - DarkGrievous7145 - 07-18-2016 do the .tga files even open in an image editor that supports them? and if so, do the previews look complete? I wouldn't know how to fix it, but if the textures are intact, then your next bet is the model/program doesn't support the format (this i doubt) , or something is wrong where the textures are specified. I know an issue I've had ripping a game recently had given me more than one occasion I'm actually completely missing a texture, or it's not being loaded by the same name it exported as. Unlucky for me, though, I'm dealing with many more missing/wrong-named textures than three. That's all I can share. |
