I need help! :O - Editordude - 11-30-2016

I have several questions!

1: What's good animation software I can use for sprite animation?
2: How can I edit sprites? (I made characters based off Kirby, but I can't find a safe way to edit sprites...)
3: Can voice acting work in Sprite Animation? If so, How?
4: How can I add music? Does it have to be in a mp3 format?
5: How can I avoid copyright issues if I post to Youtube?

Please help! I feel like I'm not getting anywhere... Very Sad

1: usually animation apps are paid, but there are free alternatives. Personally I have the paid GraphicsGale app, it's fast and comes with many resources to animate GIFs and edit sprites.
2: Also GraphicsGale. It's quick to boot and has a lot of things a professional image editing tool such as Photoshop has - but oriented to pixelart.
3: If you want to put sound to animated sprites, then you should look for a video editing software. I use Sony Vegas Portable, but it's very hefty and requires some knowledge to use. But you can import animated sprites from GraphicsGale, animate movements on Sony Vegas and add sounds to your animation.
4: Sony Vegas also supports music - not just MP3s.
5: If you post things to youtube without caring about income, you'll have no problem because Youtube will detect copyrighted content, but won't block it because you aren't making money in the first place. However, if you do intend to make money from it, then you have to be extra careful about what assets you use. If your contents are original, then the changes of getting copyright claims.

Hope it helps!
