Super Metroid cleanup - Ton - 12-12-2016 I know the Megaman project is still going on, and I may be overwhelming us with projects, but here we go. The Super Metroid section is a mess. There are a lot of incomplete sheets, or things ripped back when we didn't really know what we were doing with ripping. Here's a short list of things I noticed, but I'm no Metroid expert, so feel free to correct me. General -Recolor backgrounds to make them not pure white. Samus -Crystal Flash sprites in general -Varia/Gravity Suits are just recolors, right? We could join them together. -Here and below are missing from Varia/Gravity Suits. -Grapple Beam -Shinespark -Screw Attack -Death -More? Crocomire -Death (in acid) -Skeleton Kraid -Palette, deconstruct? Ridley -Palettes, break into parts? Make sheets cleaner? Mother Brain -Combine/Streamline sheets -Palette options -Tank without brain? -Reorganize Metroids -Add artificial Metroids and Mochtroids to enemy sheet. Space Pirates -Wall Climbing Sprites -Alternate palettes Fake Kraid -Deconstructed Torizo -Rerip in parts -Palettes -Add palette swap (yellow) -Add dust effects from final area Intro -Add Crateria and Samus's Ship to intro. Ending -Zebes sprites (Mode 7), Zebes Destruction (Mode 7), Clouds from escape (Mode 7) Menu -Add Menu sprites and objects RE: Super Metroid cleanup - Murphmario - 12-13-2016 I'm unable to rip sprites right now, but I'd like to help. But please, if your going to split the enemies into parts, at least have some assembly examples. Also, here's some more things that need updating: -The Covern sheet could be merged with the main enemy sheet, and some colors are probably missing. -The enemy sheet itself has some issues. Some sprites are stretched out some, as well as several enemies and projectiles missing (including unused). Plus, the rising lava thing could be split into parts. -Ki-hunters are missing the wingless red variation. -Most of the boss sheets are missing the colors they have as they get closer and closer to dying. -Phantoon could be split into pieces. -The background ZIP could use a re-rip. The reason being is that the screens were taken in Zsnes, and therefore don't loop the best. There are also missing backgrounds. -Background tiles could use an 100% rerip, as the current sheet was ripped using screenshots gotten online. -The general sprites could be put in other respective sheets. -Misc sprites could also be put on the respective sheets. -Objects and items, as well as weapons, could possibly use re-rips. -Samus's Starship is missing sprites. The following is missing completely: -Botwoon, the midboss of Maridia. I could probably get him from the tiles. -The Metroid 2 section of the intro is also missing. And lastly, I'd like to say that perhaps the SMILE level editor could help with the ripping process, as that way you don't have to play through the entire game (it let's you test rooms from the mouse pointer, as well as change equipment.)
