RGZ Assimilation - Ton - 02-14-2017

Basically, Goemar gave us the go-ahead to host the sheets on the Retro Game Zone and we're super excited, because his rips are awesome. The messy part comes when we have to decide which sheets overlap with our own and which need to be chopped up to mitigate repeats. I'll need your help here. Here's the progress so far:

Anyway, sorry to sound like a huge butt here, but (ha) - as Locke_gb7 (or just Locke - I forget what he went/goes by) is a very stubborn dude (don't get me wrong I love him, but well, he's very set in his ways), when I asked him about this when RGZ first 'ended' he didn't want his sprites on tSR. So well, I'm afraid to say but anything credited to him on RGZ - you'll have to ask him about.
You may notice that is well, sadly, a lot of cool and awesome stuff (he was crazy fast).
On a less doom and gloom note, I'm quite happy for sheets of mine to be 'merged' with existing ones (as long as the other submitter is Okay with that).
Things like Little Samson need some work. How the current sheets are don't really make sense to me and some of mine are easier to use (having all the bosses constructed etc) - however, thanks to the NES, being a NES - they don't seem to share the same palette. So, well if it's all good with Tom Guycott - I'd like to make the 'perfect' version of the sheets (using his palette). With most of the credit going to him and me just being credited for 'tweaks'

Well, I've contacted him. Hopefully he replies and we can work something out. I really don't want to have to remove his sheets, because they're great and fill in a lot of gaps we have here.

I have as well. It seemed like a misunderstanding at first but it seems he's insistent on not having his rips re-hosted (despite the fact that I'm already technically hosting them).

No problem! I've always been one to value history, especially in smaller niches like this, and wouldn't want to stand by to see so much hard work just vanish if it could be avoided.
I'm really not entirely sure of the motivation behind refusing to allow his rips to move across given that they're not coming from his site (and therefore wouldn't be pulling traffic from him) nor is his site even active (the last archived copy of it is from April 2015 so it's been gone almost two years) but it is what it is. We'll stick with your rips for now and see where it goes form there.

I think it isn't worth pestering him over. He's made a decision and whatever his reasons may be we'll respect them. He seems like a cool guy from what Goemar's told me before.
