NEW: Veran (TLOZ Oracle of Ages) - MrPr1993's N64 Models - MrPr1993 - 02-14-2017 I'm posting this here to let ya'll know that I'll be submitting custom N64-style models. And as such, I'll be showing the first one: Professor Elvin Gadd from the Mario Games (plus Luigi's Mansion) - modeled and given a N64 look. I actually used up his existing Gamecube model, and decreased all of his polygons to match SM64 Mario's. The arms and legs are Mario's, resized and remodeled to match his proportions, and his nose is of Mario's, and the whole model's retextured from scratch to match the N64. This contains 4 32x32 textures (may not look like it but yeah) This one includes a OBJ and a SketchUp 8 file. They're already set in a zip file. Since this is the first time I'm posting this here, I gotta know how to submit this. If it's acceptable, I got other model ideas I would make as well. (thought of Shantae and Wreck-It-Ralph), modeled in a N64 look. And if the VG resource has a Discord server, lemme know! Current next model I'm workin' on: Shovel Knight RE: MrPr1993's N64 Models - NEW: Prof. E. Gadd - Ton - 02-14-2017 I think he actually looks a bit TOO detailed for N64. Am I wrong? Fetchin' dis to have a comparison. RE: NEW: Shovel Knight - MrPr1993's N64 Models - MrPr1993 - 02-15-2017 DOWNLOAD (Sketchup 8 Model) Ith is dun! The knight in blue's model is done! In a N64 style! RE: NEW: Shovel Knight - MrPr1993's N64 Models - Ton - 02-15-2017 That's great! RE: NEW: Shovel Knight - MrPr1993's N64 Models - MrPr1993 - 02-15-2017 I have finished the model of everyone's favorite half-genie hero: Shantae! DOWNLOAD (Sketchup 8) RE: NEW: Shantae - MrPr1993's N64 Models - Filler - 02-16-2017 There's are actually pretty faithful for standard N64-like models, I have to say. I really, REALLY like them. Have you thought of uploading them to the Models Resource? As there's a custom models section on there. Ahyup - they're takin a while to be accepted RE: NEW: Shantae - MrPr1993's N64 Models - Filler - 02-16-2017 Models in general take a quite a bit to be accepted, since it has to be looked at in a 3D editor (I assume), and there is only so many staff reviewing them. Patience is pretty much the key for that. Come to think of it, will they be accepted if they're in a zip folder containing a OBJ file and a Sketchup file? Next Model To Work On: Scrooge McDuck RE: NEW: Shantae - MrPr1993's N64 Models - Ton - 02-16-2017 Wow, you're doing Scrooge? That should be awesome! Because of the upcoming Death Battle and from already making Shovel Knight, why not? RE: NEW: Scrooge McDuck - MrPr1993's N64 Models - MrPr1993 - 02-16-2017 Used Scrooge's Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep model and low poly'd it to this! Boy was that a tough one. It'll feature an alt' palette in the Models Resource version! DOWNLOAD (Sketchup 8) RE: NEW: Scrooge McDuck - MrPr1993's N64 Models - Filler - 02-16-2017 These models just keep getting better and better. There is some way to optimize polygons, though. Such as not making each moving limb a different shape (Notable on legs). Only early N64 games really did that due to not having bone and vertex animations during their time. Unless you're going for the earlier style, that is. That's what I'm going for; the earlier style. EDIT: I believe I need help submitting the model to Resource; since there's no Game in there. |
