Ripping from Steam games? (SA2) - SonikkuForever - 02-23-2017
I'm trying to figure out how to rip the Chao models from the Steam version of Sonic Adventure 2. I tried using Ninjaripper, but it only saved the textures -- the "frames" folder is empty. 3DRipperDX didn't run at all; it doesn't seem to be compatible with the game. Does anybody have any suggestions? A "printscreen" ripper would probably be the best, but I haven't found any that work yet.
Alternatively, would it be better/easier to rip from the GameCube version instead?

Most of the steam games are easy to unpack,
Just find what files are in the game's folder,
From the format you can understand if is easy to unpack or not.
