BFLIM rip - cemu dump / OutDDS / OutDDSLossless - Hiccup - 05-27-2017 I'm trying to rip this BFLIM file. I've tried using Random Talking Bush's BFLIMtoGTX script and TexHaxU and cemu's texture dump tool, but all three produce slightly different images. Which one(s) (if any) are accurate? Also, using ddsview to convert the dds files to PNG gives different results than using Paint.NET (which doesn't work on some DDS files). These differences aren't visible to the naked eye, but I still want to know what is going on. RE: BFLIM rip - cemu dump / OutDDS / OutDDSLossless - aboood40091 - 08-18-2017 Cemu/Decaf are the most accurate. If you want a quick and accurate way to convert BFLIM to DDS, use BFLIM Extractor: https://github.com/aboood40091/BFLIM-Extractor/releases/tag/v2.1 Here's the BFLIM extracted using BFLIM Extractor: You can also use Wexos's Toolbox, which can convert BFLIM to PNG: http://wiki.tockdom.com/wiki/Wexos%27s_Toolbox Now, about the differences between ddsview and paint.net, it might be because of the BC3/DXT5 decompressor. I wouldn't recommend paint.net to anyone anyway. RE: BFLIM rip - cemu dump / OutDDS / OutDDSLossless - Hiccup - 08-18-2017 I am puzzled by your other points but using a program with better support for DDS to view the DDS files is a good idea. RE: BFLIM rip - cemu dump / OutDDS / OutDDSLossless - aboood40091 - 08-18-2017 I edited the post so it's more clear and direct now. |
