Applying textures in Blender - Lord Milutin - 01-01-2018

Hello everyone!
I have textures and a model, but I don't know how to apply textures to the model in Blender. There is no good tutorial for that (or I simply had no luck in my search).

If any of you know how to do it, can you please write/record/screenshot the tutorial for this?

Here is the folder with all textures and a model: https://mega.nz/#F!8BB2TI5b!XKKYPeS5fA5hRyMyvITkVg

Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance!

First off, Open the DAE in Notepad++ or a similar program and delete "./noesisv4296/Texture2D/" that comes before the texture name "GreenLanternJessicaHeroic_D.png"
Make sure to select a mesh, and then these two buttons are for Material settings and Texture Settings, the pinkish checkered sphere is for materials, and the checkerboard square is for textures.

and a side note: You're gonna want to split the textures "GreenLanternJessicaHeroic_EI.png" And "GreenLanternJessicaHeroic_SG.png" using Texture Remix. The alpha channel of "GreenLanternJessicaHeroic_EI.png" is the Emission texture, and I'm not sure what the RGB is used for, but it's the same as the diffuse but has green bits where the emission is mapped too and is missing the eye's pupil. I'm not familiar with the source material or what game this came from to know exactly. The alpha channel of "GreenLanternJessicaHeroic_SG.png" seems to be Specular Power, and the RGB seems to be Specular Color.

First of all, thanks for replying to my thread, I greatly appreciate it!

I removed that "./noesisv4296/Texture2D/" part from the file as you said. I also downloaded Texture Remix, but I am confused what do I need to choose out of colors from there.

Finally, I opened Blender, imported the model and opened models tab, there was already this model selected, I opened textures, imported the image, but nothing happened. Sad

Would you mind doing the full tutorial once you have time and if it's not too much to ask of you, of course. I am mostly going to port all the models from this game because no one does it anymore and I really want to learn and improve myself.

P.S. Here is the model from the game, how she really looks.

The image isn't showing up, but I went ahead and made a quick and pretty lazy video for you, just use youtube's built in speed control if you need it slower. if you watch it through this embedded player make sure to set it the quality to 720p. This goes through how to apply each texture, to use the emission(the last texture I applied in the video) texture properly you'll have to switch the diffuse texture(The one that should automatically be applied when importing) with the one that's the RBG of "GreenLanternJessicaHeroic_EI" or just add both of them and uncheck the one you aren't using.

And to use Texture Remix, Drag the textures you want to split into the top box, or click load images. Make sure to set an Output Folder which is at the bottom, and then click the C+A button in both boxes of Image 1 & Image 2 if you loaded both into the program.
After that it will spit out new textures in the folder you set as the output as seen below

Thanks a lot! I managed to get the texture working, it's just looking weird. Big Grin
I see that before you recorded, you did something, but I don't know what, so that's why your texture looks correct and mine does not.
