PLEASE HELP ME RIP Ratatouille .DGA map and model holder - SniperDude2745 - 01-07-2018 I have started ripping Ratatouille: The Video Game and came across the main source of data. The maps and models are stored in .DGA files as well as textures. These .DGA files are an unknown format and might be a compressed archive but maybe not because I couldn't find the file directory in the hex text. They are confirmed to have textures and they seem to be more of a 3D scene file with multiple 3D models, similar to .mb (Maya Binary) or .blend (Blender Scene File). The .DGA files are located in two separate folders WORLD which probably contains the map data (scripted sequences, moving platforms, entities, etc.) And the DATAS folder which seems to contain other stuff, like models, textures and sounds. The all files in the WORLD and DATAS folder can be downloaded here as samples. http://www.mediafire.com/file/x1phbpkxj7tfd98/WORLD.zip http://www.mediafire.com/file/b699bhyz3btjog7/DATAS.zip Help me crack this format and keep me posted please. The maps and models are stored in .DGA files as well as textures. As a Ratatouille speedrunner this is important, as any information about the game could help potentially make it faster. Specifically, having a way to view the map files could especially help with 100%, considering the in-game mini-map is very undetailed. As far as texturework goes, I have been able to dump the textures from Dolphin, however the gamecube's textures are very compressed in comparison to the PC version. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NsmwWWgYskmUanedWzwfd_XI2ilMB-xI/view?usp=sharing (note: some textures may be incorrectly named, but that's only really a concern if you are trying to make a re-texture of the game or something.) Additionally, I've been looking into DGAs for reasons I've already mentioned. I found this program, but haven't been able to find out too much else from it. http://www.emit.jp/dgca/dgca_e.html A friend of mine (@ComradeNapCal on twitter) has been doing extensive research on the game's files, so hopefully they can help you more than I can. Thank you for posting this SniperDude, you're fighting the good fight!
