Common Sample Rates - Cooper - 03-22-2018 Who here wonders why was it made so that multiples of 5512 (11025, 22050, 44100) are commonly used sample rates as far as we can remember? I ask because I always found them to beĀ unusual numbers compared to multiples of 8000 (16000, 32000). Was it done to get justĀ a tiny bit of extra quality? It's the best reason I can think of.
