Freedom Wars 3D (Vita) Models/Meshes Help? - enzichan - 08-30-2018

I've been trying to find a way to locate the 3D Models/meshes of the game "Freedom Wars" from PS Vita for quite some time. I've actually managed to open the game file itself and managed to find the textures (which, I assume are in .emb files as there's a folder named "decals" filled it), but for the life of me, I can't find the meshes.

There are a lot (surprise xD) of files in the files, but I think these might help you guys a bit:
.emb files, presumably the textures.
.emm files
.nmd files
.nsk files (I have a feeling this are the meshes, but I'm not so sure)
.bac

There's also a shader folder with three (3) .emz files.

I feel like I'm close to finding the meshes themselves. Like, I found the .lua files for the behaviors of AIs in the game and the sounds used in it, so I'm pretty the models are just somewhere there. I did my fair share of research and found that "Dragon Ball: Xenoverse" also uses .emb texture files in its game files, but sadly, there aren't any .emd files for the meshes in Freedom Wars. There are a lot of .nsk files though.

I'm hoping you guys will be able to help me with this one.
Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the models are the .nmd files. The developer of this game is Dimps and they've used that format before.

I see. I did some research and found that .nmd files are also the format of the Tekken 6 game.
I also found that Noesis can actually read .nmd but sadly, it wasn't able to read Freedom Wars' .nmd format. Do you happen to know any more options?

Thanks!

The best thing I could do is write a maxscript for it if the file format isn't too complicated or compressed with something unknown.

RE: Freedom Wars 3D (Vita) Models/Meshes Help? - enzichan - 08-31-2018

That would be great! Big Grin I hope it's not too complicated. Writing (my own) scripts has never been a strong suit to me ^^;
I can understand them, but making my own is something else entirely Shocked

Should I send a sample of .nmd file to you?

RE: Freedom Wars 3D (Vita) Models/Meshes Help? - killercracker - 08-31-2018

Sure, hopefully the format is like the other games they've made. That will make this process a lot easier.

Okay! Here are the sample data from FW:
Sorry it took a while for me to reply though

Good Luck! Tell me if you need more data ^^

The format was similar to the xenoverse series so it was easier to figure it out. For skinning first load the .nsk files then the subsequent .nmd files. I also made a bms script to unpack the .emb archives. Let me know if you have any issues. Cheers.  Smile

I'm sorry I can't do much for you [at the moment, at least Sad] in return-- but really, thank you so much! ^^

Cheers indeed! Big Grin

Man, I can't believe I was too late to get this file. If it's not too much trouble, could I get it? I know this thread is old, but I was trying to find a way to get the models and you're the only hope I found.
