2D Fighter Maker 95 sprite ripping? - k1nomoto - 11-21-2018
Hello, I'm new in the VG Resource!
I would like to ask if anybody knows how to rip sprites from *.player files from 2D Fighter Maker '95 games (NOT 2K!)
I'm trying to rip from the Magical Heroines Plus! game (the engine is 2DFM95).

Alright, I took a look at the files in a hex editor and spotted their "KGTGAME" header.
Did a quick Google search to see if anyone else had tried extracting from these files before, and sure enough I found an older Mugen Free For All post. It seems like you need the game to rip the sprites, so I'd try following the steps in the post found here (it's the second post down on the list, I couldn't find a direct link to the post :P).

I was able to open the player file with the steps, but what about the sprites? Do I need to screenshot them and edit them?
Random Talking Bush who ripped through only the player file without the game and was able to even get all the sprites of a of from the game (he got the player file online).

I assume the user did hard-rip the available sprites, but I'm not too sure.
Also, do you have a link to a thread or something where RTB was able to get the sprites?

Hmm... Maybe try PMing them to see if they remember how to do it? I really haven't any other solutions, sorry...
