Extracting character models/sprites and music from Soundtrack Attack - CrossoverEnthusiast - 09-13-2020 (Context; Soundtrack Attack is a 2016 mobile game for Steven Universe that got taken off every app store last year for whatever reason.) I've been attempting to obtain the characters and music for preservation purposes, and got stuck; I've followed instructions on how to do the whole unzip-and-dig thing (7zip and AssetStudio), however what I'm looking for isn't where they say it should be. The only images in the assets folder are stock Unity pictures, and even looking through the entire game folder brings nothing despite there being reference to at least the player characters in the scene hierarchy. I even tested it with the game the instructions used, and that one went flawlessly, so I'm at a complete loss at what to do next. RE: Extracting character models/sprites and music from Soundtrack Attack - DogToon64 - 09-13-2020 Maybe try searching in other files that aren't asset files. I opened some files in a different game that aren't asset files, and I was able to open some. But some files will give you an error. I hope this helps, and good luck! RE: Extracting character models/sprites and music from Soundtrack Attack - CrossoverEnthusiast - 09-20-2020 Update: I've been screwing around with it a bit more, and I think the weirdness came from the way it was packaged or something? Tried to do the same methods with another SU app game we actually have some sprites for, Dreamland Arcade, and it had the same results as SA; only images were stock Unity stuff and the opening sequence logos. I think it might also have something to do with not having the correct files, as AssetStudio mentions SA not having the file required to play the sound clips it lets me access, while TinyRipper says both games are missing a lot of Unity files (though that might also have something to do with the fact they're not full 3D games). But since we already do have a lot of DA images...to the people who ripped stuff from Dreamland Arcade, if you did it on PC, please get in touch, I'd like to know how. If you didn't, I'd still like to know anyway. |
