Is it possible to rip the town model from Animal Crossing (Gamecube)? - dankdeku - 11-09-2020 I've been thinking about creating an Animal Crossing-themed custom map for Black Ops 3 Zombies for a while, and I was wondering if there's any way the town model from the Gamecube game can be ripped. I've tried using Ninja Ripper to try and extract the models from Dolphin but all I'm left with in the end is a log file that always gives out this error: "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process", even if every other program on my computer is closed. I've heard that ripping models from Gamecube games requires quite a lot of work to get right but I barely know anything about ripping models from games and I'm not sure if I'll be able to get it right. Any advice or suggestions would be welcome. RE: Is it possible to rip the town model from Animal Crossing (Gamecube)? - JonathanJoestar - 11-09-2020 Depends on your goals. Are you trying to rip your specific town, or just create a generic town? The former would require something like Ninja ripper but the latter requires getting the other models individually and recreating it manually. And ripping from animal crossing directly is iffy because of tricks used. One of them being that your town isn't flat but curved, which would probably make your custom map awkward to play. Just use whatever technique you think will be less hassle or easier for you. |
