hi noob here trying to rip models with PCSX2, using latest 1.7.0 as its the only one that will run the game
i have a folder full of mesh.rip files but they all seem to be empty (except for 5) when viewing in Noesis or Blender
all the texture files are there and look fine
help please

Ninja Ripper and 3D Ripper just don't work with PCSX2 from all my experience. If I'm remembering right you could get some rips with an real old version PCSX2. I think PCSX2 0.9.8 but the model is distorted from camera angle.
