Broken NormalMaps from Splatoon (Resolved) - deerly beloved - 02-18-2021 I've been working on extracting Walleye Warehouse from Splatoon, and got the model geometry without a problem. However, I encountered a particularly strange problem when extracting the textures. All of the NormalMaps extracted as a garbled mess of red, yellow, green, and black. I thought this was strange, considering the rest of the textures were extracted without problem. I assumed this was just a mistake from the GTX to DDS tool I was using, and decided to take to Cemu's Texture Dump feature to grab the Normalmaps properly. However, when I attempted that, I got the same results. Would anyone happen to know what's going on here? EDIT: I was able to extract the textures properly with the use of the application Switch-Toolbox. All I needed to do was open the .bfres file, export the textures as .dds, and convert them to .png. Hope this helps anyone with a similar problem! |
