I’m trying to use the sound resource, I find it annoying that I have to download each category manually. Is there an API for the sound resource? Is there a button to download all the sounds? Thanks

No, you'll have to download each one individually.
In this thread, Petie and Dazz explain why there's no "Batch-downloading" option:
