Gaming Challenges You've Done (Finished or Not) - Shin FireyPaperMario - 05-12-2021
We, the people of the VG Resource community, must've try at least one or at least a few challenge run in video games in our lives. So if you have done one or at least some challenge runs on certain video games (Feel free to include some that you attempted, or never got the guts to try if you like. ^^") in the past, tell us here in this thread! I'll start:
Challenge Runs I've Done (Completed):
- Wario World: 4 Heart Run (First attempted in 2011-2013, give-up) (2nd Attempt: 2013-2014, completed).
- Paper Mario: Below Level 20 Run (Final Level: 18).
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64): 3 Heart Run.
- Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door: Danger Mario Run.
- The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (GCN): 3 Heart Run.
- Paper Mario: Danger Mario Run (Final Level: 15).
- Paper Mario: BP Only Run (Final Level: 10).
- Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door: No Deaths, No Life Shrooms, BP Only run.
- Paper Mario: No Toad House Run.
- Paper Mario: No Jump Attack Run (Tried it on the WiiU VC once. I'm hoping to try this again though).
Challenge Runs I've (Incomplete/Still Trying/Bored quit):
- The Legend of Zelda 1: 3 Heart Run (Gave up in Dungeon 5 in the 1st quest. Fuck you Blue Darknuts!!! >:U).
- Super Mario Bros. 1 (NES): Pacifist Run (Still struggling in that).
- Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link: 4 Bars of Life Run (I kept dying in Palace #1 ;-
.
- Mario & Luigi Partners in Time: Master ALL Bro Moves (Bored Quit).
- Pokémon Nuzlocke: with Custom Rules (Having low luck in the beginning...).
- Mario & Luigi RPG 3 (Bowser's Inside Story): Complete Main Game in under 24 hours (Struggling at the nose deck minigame atm).
- Super Mario Bros. 3: Super Mushroom Only Run (Farthest I got was 2 levels into Sea Side
).
- The Legend of Zelda 1: Swordless Run (Gave up after completing Dungeon 3 in the 1st quest).
- Super Paper Mario: Collect All 256 Cards (Only have 88 out of the 256 cards so far as of the making of this topic
).
- Sonic the Hedgehog 1: 1cc Run (Still trying this).
Challenges I'm Hoping to Try Soon:
- Super Mario Bros. 2 USA: 2 Hit Run
- Paper Mario: Thinking of trying a "4 challenges-in-1" run of this game soon.

-I've tried to beat Sonic 2 XL but never got past chemical plant.
-I've beated FNAF 1, 2 and 3 without any jumpscare.
-I've beated an Inkagames game without a walkthrough.

If y'all didn't heard from me via the VG Resource discord, I attempted my No Rest run of the OG Paper Mario again for a 2nd time, but with a added challenge of no using the Hammer in battles and not having any Life Shrooms. And as of the making of this rply, I defeated the Chapter 5 boss at Level 12 (I leveled up BEFORE reaching Lava Piranha).

It was almost hard, but I was lucky with my selection of items I have on me during the 2nd phase
