What's your childhood console/games? - Alefy San - 06-18-2021 My console was ps2. My favorite childhood games were: -Cars -Cars Race o Rama -The Sims 2 Castaway -Harvest Moon -Mario All Stars + World -Donkey Kong Country 3 -Taz Wanted -Super Bomberman Series Edit: Oops, I just realised I should post it in the gaming forum. How do I delete this? I've just realised it probably should be posted in the gaming forum and I cannot delete it. RE: What's your childhood console/games? - N0RTHBIRD - 06-19-2021 @Sanic, I always got kind of jealous of PS2, haha. All of my friends had one and I only got to play it a couple times. But I remember having the Cars game on Xbox, which I'm not sure how much might differ from the PS2 game but it's pretty fun! Majority of my childhood was playing Xbox. My favorite childhood games had to be Destroy All Humans, Sonic Riders, Star Wars Battlefront 1/2, Jedi Knight Academy, Tony Hawk's Underground and The Spongebob Squarepants Movie Game. The latter was my first game for the Xbox so it has a lot of nostalgia for me associated with it. Also does anyone remember The Sims 2 having that mode where you could control your Sims directly, like in a third-person pov? I miss that feature... I always wanted to have a XBOX. But I think the Cars game is exactly the same. Ah Yeah, it was my favorite mode in the sims 2, I only played in that mode. I've also played a Tony Hawk game, but I don't remember which, but it's one that one of the first stages is a snow stage with treehouses. Spongebob i've played in my friend's house and it' pretty fun. And sonic riders looks cool, I want to play it someday. RE: What's your childhood console/games? - Shin FireyPaperMario - 06-19-2021 Where do I even begin? ^-^"
And that's the tip of the iceberg.

My favorites are Mario 64 and Paper Mario. I'm a bomberman fan but only played the snes and nes games, but I'm thinking about playing the n64 games. RE: What's your childhood console/games? - N0RTHBIRD - 06-20-2021 @Sanic, So glad I'm not the only one who preferred that mode. I wonder why they never decided to implement that in future games, even on the console editions... And that kind of sounds like one of the Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 levels? And yeah I definitely recommend Sonic Riders. The mechanics were tricky to get the hang of at first, but that's true of many racing games I think and, once you get past it, the gameplay can get addicting. @Shin FireyPaperMario, That's a great list of 64 games! Always been partial to collect-a-thon platformers, especially Super Mario 64 and Donkey Kong 64. RE: What's your childhood console/games? - superspongebobbros - 06-20-2021 Childhood games is a little hard for me to determine, but my childhood consoles would be the Wii/PS2. Awesome. My mother would originally buy a Wii, but she buyed a ps2 instead because Wiis were very expensive. I always wondered how my childhood would be completely different if she buyed the Wii. Anyway, I love Wii, it's my favorite 3d nintendo console. RE: What's your childhood console/games? - stevenisjusthere - 06-23-2021 a PS2, and among them, i think they were: Taz: Wanted (oh hey thats what we have in common, but i couldnt finish the last level) Gran Turismo 4 and maybe more, if i could remember. Gran Turismo looks amazing, but I never played it. RE: What's your childhood console/games? - SmithyGCN - 07-18-2021 Sheesh. My childhood consoles were NES and SNES. Wish I grew up with the Commodore 64, too. My childhood games are too numerous to mention, but some of my favorite were: NES Super Mario Bros. 1-3 (I remember when Dad asked me which game I wanted to rent from Burnstead's was SMB 3 instead of 2) Legend of Zelda II (I liked this one over the original) Super C Castlevania Castlevania II Simon's Quest Mega Man 3 Mega Man 4 Wizards&Warriors Ironsword Wizards&Warriors II Dragon Warrior Final Fantasy SNES Super Mario World Super Mario World 2 Yoshi's Island (rented a lot) Super Mario RPG (bought this one in the clearance bin in Corpus Christi) Kirby Super Star (we bought this as Toys R' Us was having a sale) Donkey Kong Country (brother got this for his birthday) Donkey Kong Country 2 Diddy's Kong Quest (rented this one a lot) Donkey Kong Country 3 Dixie's Double Trouble (borrowed from a friend) Plok (rented a lot) Super Castlevania IV (rented) Final Fantasy III (bought on ebay) Tiny Toons Buster Busts Loose (gotten as a gift) Chrono Trigger (played on emulator) Tin Star (bought for my brother) Super Metroid (SNES classic) Star Fox (gift from an uncle) Star Fox 2 (SNES classic) Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past (my favorite Zelda - used to rent it in Tomah) RE: What's your childhood console/games? - Barack Obama - 07-20-2021 NES Mega Man IV - never beat it, too hard Super Mario Bros. - never beat it, last stage sucks SNES Secret of Mana - I can't count how much I played it Super Mario World 1 & 2 - the bonus levels for YI were nearly unbeatable while SMW was way too easy Lufia 2 - always makes me sad Secret of Evermore - completely underrated Illusion of Time / Gaia - back then I thought Will and Kara had sex on the raft Donkey Kong Country 1-3 - part 1 is classic, part 2 is really hard and part 3 one of my favs Super Mario All Stars - never beat a single one of these games, all too hard Zombies ate my Neighbours - not my cup of tea, played it with my father GameBoy Dragon Quest Monsters - played it with my sister, got 100% and perfect unbeatable monsters with 999-stats (not sure if speed had a lower max) Zelda IV - my earliest GB game, imo still one of the best Zelda games, even in terms of dungeon design (I like it simple) Zelda Oracles / Seasons - great games too, I really enjoyed them Super Mario Land 1-3 - easy to pick up and play, shame that you can't beat the bosses in Wario Land again Mystic Quest - also known as Final Fantasy Adventure, it was surprisingly good N64 Mario 64 - Wet-Dry World is still one the stages I'll never like Banjo-Kazooie 1-2 - part 1 is way better than 2 Donkey Kong 64 - some parts were quite lengthy, but the boss music is epic Zelda OoT - for me some of the greatest moments in videogames + amazing atmosphere, but the dungeons were a let-down Zelda MM - beat it 1x on 100% with a guide, then never touched it again because time limits suck Mario Kart 64 - most played N64 game #2 Bomberman Hero - my favorite Bomberman game Bomberman 64 - hard as balls compared to Bomberman Hero, never beat it Goemon - music and atmosphere were quite unusual and I really liked it Pokemon Stadium 1-2 - most played N64 game #3 & 4 Lylat Wars - most played N64 game #1 Emulator Trials of Mana (SD3) - not as good as Secret of Mana, only beat it 1x vs the Dragon Emperor, enemies take way too many hits (Duran, Angela, Riez) Conker's BFD - probably the crappiest N64 game I've ever played, I was expecting better things. The humor itself was alright. Harvest Moon (SNES) - my PC died before I could beat the game, already married with Ann RE: What's your childhood console/games? - Alefy San - 07-21-2021 (07-18-2021, 03:57 PM)SmithyGCN Wrote: Sheesh. Also, I wish I grew up with N64, it has an amazing game library. I remember really enjoying playing zombies ate my neighbors with my friends. And I plan on playing Lufia and Secret of Evermore soon. I always loved 2d rpgs. |
