How to extract a .wad file from a PC game? (Tomb Raider AOD) - Stay Retro - 06-19-2021 I've recently been ripping assets for Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness on the PC but I've seemed to have ran into a brick wall with the .wad file type. The .wad is in the same directory as a bunch of other .png files which were things like the UI or loading screens, this has led me to believe that all of the other sprites in the game are contained within this file. If anyone has any info on how to go about getting inside this file then it'd be much appreciated. I've linked the file in question to my google drive in case anyone wants to experiment with cracking it open. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OC5ag9DrOjO7l8SaFXbLu32QbLjofM-r/view?usp=sharing RE: How to extract a .wad file from a PC game? I also tried using the extractors for the doom's .wad files but I always ended up with an error, so maybe it's more to do with the specific engine of TR AOD using that extension |
