Ripping PS1 Games - HelperUnknown - 02-20-2022 I mentioned this a little while ago on another boardĀ but how do I rip models from PS1 games if I have the disc and not the ROM for theĀ game? I don't know if it'd be easier or harder that way. It's my first foray into ripping so any advice would be appreciated. RE: Ripping PS1 Games - ThemightyGinkgo - 03-01-2022 I remember asking this too, and the answer i got back more than most, its almost impossible to rip stuff unless someone made a tool for a specific game, because back in the PS1 days it was the wild west, every studio had it's own engine and file types, it wasnt as organized like it is today with everyone hoping on a premade engine and using it's universal formats. So it's like you have to really know how to reverse engineer to get stuff from those old mediums. Atleast that is what I was told.
