Kirby and the Forgotten Land ripping - prvqx - 03-06-2022 I was questioning myself the other day, and I said "Could assets be ripped from Kirby and the Forgotten Land DEMO?". Then I scouted for a ROM hack of the demo and I found {LINK REMOVED, DO NOT LINK TO ROMS!}. So then I was very excited until I realized the only thing I could rip, are the Webm video files from the "mov" folder. (I used Yuzu for extracting the game files from the NSP). Rest assured, those Webm clips are perfectly okay to only rip but my greedy self wanted more. That's why I came here to ask all of you to help. I can infer that the assets/models are stored in compressed CMP files so I need help decompressing those. Now that's not the only file type there is because there are many more in the files like bnvib, bfres, bfstm, opus, and cmpbin. The thing is, there are technically no bfres files, there are only @@@.bfres.cmp which means just @@@.cmp. The model that I'm primarily striking for is the car that Kirby sucks in. I actually have a mega file with the files to rip the car and maybe you can teach me how to rip these so I don't have to ask again in the future. https://mega.nz/folder/0nBT0Y7L#eN4RrI6xqaU_bfnk4lYD5g RE: Kirby and the Forgotten Land ripping - DogToon64 - 03-06-2022 First, you'll need to decompress the CMP files using QuickBMS and Random Talking Bush's Kirby (Nintendo Switch) - CMP Decompression script. Then, you can open the files with Switch Toolbox. Hope this can help! RE: Kirby and the Forgotten Land ripping - prvqx - 03-06-2022 You are a huge lifesaver DogToon, keep up the good work! RE: Kirby and the Forgotten Land ripping - prvqx - 03-07-2022 But I do have one more question, when I import Kirby into Toolbox, it works, but when I export an animation and import it to blender with the Kirby model, it goes all disfigured. I export the Kirby as a dae and export the anim as a seanim. I am also using this plugin https://github.com/SE2Dev/io_anim_seanim. Nonetheless, it never works and I am always scouting out for a solution to this problem. I will even go as far as to post images I shot to show this problem. Please help, this is not just limited to Kirby models, it's about every seanim I import to blender. |
