Models from source code that were digitized into sprites? - shadowman44 - 02-10-2024 Ok, I did not know how to properly title this. So there is an obscure action-adventure game called Dink Smallwood (yeah, get it out of your system). The final game uses digitized sprites that were made from 3D models, but those original 3D models were not included in the game's data whatsoever. However, the developer of the game officially released the source code a few years ago that contained all of the models used for those sprites, for anyone to use. Would they be allowed to be uploaded to the Model's Resource? RE: Models from source code that were digitized into sprites? - Petie - 02-10-2024 Seeing as the developer released them directly, I don’t see why not. It would actually be kind of interesting to have the same characters legitimately submitted as both sprites and models. |
