Help with the images - BigZay2397 - 03-29-2024

So, I use paint.net to get all the sprites to the exact pixel size, but when I download it, it's very blurry. How do I make it as sharp as possible? Here's an example image: [Image: 9.png]  It is 39x33, the exact size of the sprite, but once you zoom in, it's very blurry.

I downloaded it and used the magnifying glass from my graphics program to zoom in. I can't see any blur.

This is how it looks to me:

Sure your "zoom in" isn't just enlarging the pictures with a blur filter? And why download something that is already on your computer (if you edit sprites with paint.net)?

Huh. Whenever I open the image in file explorer it's super blurry: (It's a different sprite, but they're all like this.)

The Photos app is better suited to traditional photographs and images and not so much pixel art. Because of this, whenever you zoom in on an image the program does its best to increase readability by blending/blurring pixels. It's not a great thing to use for the pixels.

There is a free tool to enable the old photo viewer, which has way better performance and is perfect for pixel art (zooming in doesn't produce any blur):

Photo Viewer Enabler 1.0.0.0 by pXc-coding

Tested with Windows 10, but not 11. If the tool doesn't work with Win11, try this method:
