ripping sprites from the other smart kids series games - violetblooded - 08-06-2024 i’ve been trying to rip sprites from the smart kids ds games (i’m starting out with the compilation game smart kids gameroom which has both smart girls playhouse and smart boys gameroom) i tried using tinke and it has worked for some of the sprites but these .chc files allude me and i think they might have sprites in them if i managed to extract them properly RE: ripping sprites from the other smart kids series games - Shade - 08-06-2024 Can you link an example of the file you're looking at? RE: ripping sprites from the other smart kids series games - violetblooded - 08-06-2024 i'm looking at the "option_info.chc" file (which i believe contains the "ask mother to help" screen) which tinke says it can unpack even though when i try to unpack it it doesn't give me anything useable i was thinking about trying this with a different ds graphics ripper but i dont know any more good ones besides tinke RE: ripping sprites from the other smart kids series games - violetblooded - 08-07-2024 i discovered that the .chc files are usually seen with .scr and .pal files named the same as the .chc while i have no idea what the .scr file could be but the .pal file might be the palettes of the sprite, just in a different format again, i may be spouting absolute bullshit here, but i'm just trying to figure out why these compressed files are unpackable by tinke |
