Tropico 5 Ripping Issue - jje100010001 - 08-10-2024

Hi all!

Just looking for some help here:

I'm trying to export some models from Tropico 5 using Ninjaripper 2.0.5, but it seems to capture the wrong UV.

From what I can see, Tropico 5's models combine diffuse texture UV mapping and also a separately mapped Ambient Occlusion texture UV, but Ninjaripper is grabbing only the latter, producing a model that's unusable.

My current workflow is Ninjaripper 2.0.5 > Noesis > obj + dds into Blender.

Any ideas on how to make Ninjaripper capture only the diffuse texture UVs? Are there any command line arguments? Thanks in advance!

If I remember correctly, NinjaRipper 2.0.x should have either come with or created a direct ".nr" to Blender plug-in. If it did, stick that in your Blender 2.92 or higher's plug-in folder and then go to Import > NinjaRipper World (.nr) and select every single one of the .nr assets it made. Import that and see if it fixes your problem, because this strikes me as a Noesis issue, not an NR issue.

That said, if you have access to NinjaRipper's discord (I think they only give the link to Patreon members?) you might want to ask there, too. They'd probably have a better idea.
