Coloring question - SKELTON S. SKELETON - 10-13-2009 When you color, do you lay down the base colors first and work from there, or try to do it all at once? RE: Coloring question - Vipershark - 10-14-2009 I fill in areas with the middle shade first, then add highlights and shading to them. RE: Coloring question - Maneko - 10-14-2009 Normally I color the base with the primary colors alone and then I add a second layer to put the shading there. RE: Coloring question - triptych - 10-14-2009 1.sketch out lines 2.add base color(s) 3.shade and clean up lines simultaneously 4.mess with palette until it doesnt suck RE: Coloring question - MagikSage - 10-14-2009 (I use ms paint) The way I have been coloring land tiles is to lay down a pallet of potential colors. I work with these colors till I decide which color types to use. Finally, I add lighter and darker versions based on need. For people I chose the colors as needed. When I choose the color, I do something similar to the land tiles. |
