Alpha 1 of my platformer game released!
http://host-a.net/Vipershark/Platformer.exe

PRESS ENTER AT THE PIXELCORE ADVERTISEMENT TO START THE GAME

This is a basic demo of what the first two levels will be like.
The first level is pretty much done design-wise, but as for the second... I'm not sure.

Controls:
Left and Right Arrow Keys to move
Up Arrow Key to Jump

The game resets to the title screen at the end of level two.

Stuff to notice:
I haven't coded in any messages or anything yet, sooo.....
Collision detection is pretty screwed up at the moment. I'm working on it right now.

The only time i heard about the TI-83 was when i was reading the FFX port for it.. Seems like an interesting idea so far. I can't say nothing, as i am still totally clueless about the TI-83 :X
Sorry for my mistakes on english, people..... I am Brazilian, and to worsen that... i learnt english playing Final Fantasy and asking my mother.

EDIT: Now, 4 years have passed, and I`m an english teacher. Heart

I played the little engine, and it honestly isn't very smooth, right now.

Like, on the stair steps, whenever you jump to a new step, you can't move when you land. You have to jump again to be able to move, and sometimes, you couldn't move in the air.

hmm...
I'm aware of the not moving in air, but I've never encountered any problems with not moving when you land...
Are you running Vista?

No, I'm running XP.

It's usually when the little block lands near the edge of the stair, and you need to jump to be able to move. It isn't that big of a deal, but on one of the steps, I got stuck 3 or 4 times and it was sort of frustrating, lol.

hm.
That's never happened to me before. I'll look into it.

Haha, it could possibly just be me, because my computer is special. xD

If you can't find a problem, then it's most likely me. =]

Good work here, though. =D Can't wait to see what you're going to do with it.
