Spriting again after like, six months

and would kind of like to see if I can get back into the swing of things.

The red things near her hands are supposed to be magic-energy beam-armblades produced by her magic gloves. I may put more detail into the gloves some time later to make them match the artwork (below) better. The colors are just Vista-MSPaint's default colors for now.

I would really really really appreciate some feedback and constructive criticism. Does she look too much like a man? Did I ruin the shading? Do the arms look broken? Tell me, please, because I'm way to much of a perfectionist for my own good and can't help but think there's something wrong with it. >_<

Based on some artwork of an original character by me (though somewhat loosely in some places) you can see here:

while she does look like a guy, (no hips at all, lol) that looks really cool. Nothing that I really see wrong with it, aside from her feet pointing straight sideways.

She seems to be leaning forward unnaturally.

her chin also seems to be too far to our left, making her face look oddly sloped. compare where it is to the spot between her eyes--it doesn't line up.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll get to work on it then I guess.

imo with the way she's leaning she should either have her left leg bent a little or her right heel off the ground a bit, also with her right arm her elbow should be bending the other way (or just more straight) or her fingers should be showing whether it be palm side or thumb side cause right now the position just looks a little unnatural.
and yeah she does look like a guy to me too, but it's confusing because she doesn't when I zoom in. I think it may be the lack of contrast between her eyes and skin that makes her eyes seem a little more beady and it couldn't hurt to give her more of a neck, but otherwise your guess is as good as mine.

so yeah other than that it's looking smashing.

The eyes have been completely redone. I'm doing a kind of traditional manga-style with them so their outlines are on top of the hair. I'm wondering if you think that make the hair look weird though. I tried to fix the chin too. I widened the hips a bit and tried to show that they were slanted which should justify the leg lengths. I removed the shoulder strap because I noticed that it really served no purpose for the character at all. I turned her right arm a little in hopes if it looking more natural, and I turned the feet more toward us. Lastly, I removed a few accidental colors from the sprite that weren't in the pallet.

that black lineart would work better if you actually didnt use it everywhere but instead in some parts of the character. for a sprite of such size, the outline does nothing but eat most of the details, and it already has plenty of contrast to make every section to stand on its own.

Is this what you mean?

I also shortened her right arm a little because I noticed it was too long.
