You sir need to look at why people are saying they are coping Link, yeah what Link does isn't original in everything he does but he hasn't taken all his game ideas from another series doing the SAME game ideas. Sonic to myself is doing this, yes the idea could be from another game but some Sonic games have had same elements as an other series.
And really the people are taking too much offense, which Yoder you have just proved. Calm down, some of the communitee thinks yeah and others thinks no and both have there reasons, you shouldn't act so "What not MY SONIC, he would never do a thing like that" .

They should make games on what is based on the comics, those have better storylines and what not.

I agree with DVB, there really is 'nothing ne under the sun.'
I won't admit that Sonic is copying Link until he gets a green tunic and a green hat

Link's far from the first VG character to turn into a werewolf either:

Really, I think Sega may've avoided Sonic's failures if they improved on their existing formulas rather than experimenting and/or rush the new games.
They seemed to be on the right track with the Adventure games. Why they decided to add new mechanics without fixing what they already had problems with, I do not know.

There's like a 100 games where people turn into a wolf, and maybe Sega is just borrowing it from Altered Beast? Which is, you know - a sega game.
And the MGS4 thing was joke, jesus - I love that game you know (and have the Big Boss emblem!).
I just want a Sonic game where I die from another reason except glitches or because I forget there's more than just running straight in the game.

I agree, '06 kills you if you do something, kills you if you don't and even kills you for using something in the game such as a boost pad.

guys, let's just all agree, and forget about that horrible game '06, when was that, like, two years ago? (judged by the name)
I didn't find Secret Rings was boring, I found it to be fun actually, 'cept for some of the missions, and the lock on thing, but that won't kill a game

If you would actually take a look back at those 3 sources I listed (D&D, Tolkien, and Arthurian legend), you will find that Link took plenty from them. Also, Sonic is doing nothing like Link. Link turned into an actual wolf, Sonic is turning into a werehog. Sure Link and Sonic will both be using swords, but how they are using them is completely different. Just because they both use swords to defeat enemies doesn't make them identical. That's like saying Mario and Sonic are the same, because they both jump on enemies to defeat them.
Nothing I have said was any bit un-calm, and I have taken no offense at anyody's words (unless they have insulted Sonic without due cause). I'm not acting that way, so please take your assumptions out of this discussion. If you truly think your assumptions have any basis, please show me.

Yeah the homing feature in Secret Rings could have been better as it often targeted the wrong enemy (or didn't target at all).

Ok well just end the argument, I was just saying that I find it weird that Sonic and Link games have similar ideas between them, whether or not the ideas are original. I could be (possibly am) way off what Sega are doing but I am not the only one that thinks this, even gaming sites have stated that parts are feeling like or work similar to Zelda so its not like I am pulling these connections out of thin air.

the games are dieng, I will admit alot of the awsome Retro games like
Mario and Sonic, Metroid and kirby are bieng ruined by them either
trying to over complicate them or under complicate them.
I find it funny that on sonic unleashed, it kind of Copy's Zelda with the
transform into a wolf thing, funny hey, why cant they just transform
into a frog or something.
I think that a good example of a brilliant, new and not Over complicated
or under complicated game is SSBB, they have made it 3-D, so meh, kinda
over complicated but they made batteling simple so it kind of makes it a good game.
I still prefere Super Mario World to any game I have ever played.
uh, dude, super smash bros. has ALWAYS been 3D. they didn't recently decide to go from 2D to 3D.

I know that. I was saying that because the smash bros saga
was 3-D I questioned its awsomness, and it truly was.
a game is 3D so it's automatically bad.
riiiiiiiiiiiiight.
