Ook Ook. I happen to be one of those guys that happen to carry one of them in my team.

All this whining is also p. typical of fanboys, although I get a sketchy feeling that this game was made to please the N fangirls.. but I think this might try to fufull the plot device that is Kyurem's origional form.

When you think about it, its not at all silly compared to a rehash of two already existing set of games with a storyline that makes more sense. It's been something that the fan boys have been complaining about for years so I think direct sequels for both games could be far more helpful to the main game series than it would do harm.

Well, they're certainly easier to make than a new set of 150+ Pokemons and an entirely new game. So it's win/win I guess?
Want to see how they'll handle all the stuff about your pokemon being lvl 5 again and gym leaders.

Me too me too, I have Panpour right now.
Also agreeing that these sequels are gonna be great, so we don't need to worry about it too much. I do wonder how the story of Kyureshiram and Zekyurem is gonna be.

chances are it will most likely be a new set of trainers. Although I wonder if they are going to pull something similar to how Red was in Gold/Silver and throw in the Hilbert/Hilda and involve them in the story of Black 2 and White 2 some how and in the end game you end up battling them. It wouldn't be a completely stupid idea given that you're most likely going to be in Unova for the game.
Come on customization come on. I want to be an moomooaholic and travel the region on my moped harassing younger trainers with an Accelgor and Samurott.

Oops, wasn't gen 2 a direct sequel? (yep, it was.)

Yeah, a direct sequel with a completely new region, new pokemon, eight different gym leaders and the original ones several years down the line in their careers. I am getting the feeling so far that they aren't going to accomplish all that with this.
Now if they DID do all that, that'd be a different story.
I hope you're in college or some bullshit and you're a moomoomilkaholic. I want this. I want it baaaad(romance)
Only 3 years. Different storys have different ends, so while gen 2 was a full new generation, gen 5 will have 4 games instead of 3. Still, direct sequels have been done before and thus is not really all that silly.

Eh, it'd still feel weird to me personally. I mean, either you're gonna be the same character and somehow ALL your pokemon are suddenly gone, which while they could explain that happening it just would feel weird, maybe even depressing to lose all of them (from a character standpoint, considering you could transfer them to your new game from the old one through various means). Also what would you do if you WERE the same character? Fight all the same gym leaders again?
I dunno, I'm not even going to worry about it anymore until more info's available.

That's what the breeding system is there fore.
And yeah, it's a time and patience thing, but first thing on their list is that crossover title.
But yeah, I wouldn't mind getting a starter diffrent from mine, makes complting the dex helluva easier.

Personally, I'd wager you get to play as the first Black/White trainer's kid, like ten years later in the sequel's time line, which would mean your whole team automatically resets, and the new character you'd play as would still be relevant enough to the plot itself, whatever it is at this point.
Otherwise, I don't see how they would allow you to transfer your team without a stop n' swap method between cartridges, which I doubt is possible unless the hardware itself allow it. Seriously, it'd kinda suck to start out with a generic stock team. (Not that I think they'll do that, of course.)

That's what I always do with new releases, so I'll just continue sticking to that plan. Nothing worse than hype building up a new product to be more than it is, right?

I totally lol'd at the thought of this. Maybe it will when they start using 3D models in the next gen, just maybe. >:D I could finally play as a guy that I like, because most of them were so...generic or too strange for me go with. Always had more than one reason for consistently picking the female trainer, if only because more care was given to their design than the guys. =P Seriously, one look at either Lucas or Brannon made me laugh out loud. xD

Hey, Brandon was great.
Better than May for me honestly.
