this is a character i came up with around the tail-end of 2010, with some very strange origins...

I remember it fondly...

I was locked in fierce combat with my arch nemesis, Delos deLoso, atop the Space Needle.

From there, we could both easily see the towers being attacked. Both of us American citizens, we set aside our differences, cried and hugged a bit, drank some beer, and told embarrassing stories of our childhoods.

The next day, I received a call from him—he was declaring his love for me and wished to marry.

We haven't spoken since.

he's still angry, and he's working with Mr. Z to enact Plan B: if i can't have you, nobody can.

I don't really understand what's going on with the nose. Are you trying to make it the shape of Wario's?
I think it's the line on the left. I'm not really sure how to fix it, but I can't comprehend the nose's form.

Yeah, the nose together with his left ear (our right) makes it look like he has a pig nose. I can't unsee it.

I think it is supposed to be a pig nose because that's exactly what I'm seeing and nothing else.

I kinda like the "big head" look that you had before on the character. The different characteristics, like his blocky chin, gave him personality.

I hope you don't mind, but I did an edit to show what I mean that it gives him more personality. Also, I fixed up a few other things.
Biggest thing was the nose. I wasn't sure if you were going for a Doug nose or just a pig nose. I took the pig nose approach because I wasn't quite sure. I defined the nose a bit by adding a highlight and showed depth by using some shadow.

i was going for a bit of a pig nose, but now i've changed it a bit.

If you really want the pig effect, make the nostrils 2 pixels high instead of one.

the difference in head-body proportion between delos now and delos in the second attempt is about the same as the difference in head-body proportion between crappy now and crappy in the same image.

Jokes aside it looks great.

Though the some of the frames of the pie's tin while it's spinning seem a little off, imo.

I think you can make Delos more pig-like. I've messed around with the nose and made him fatter:

I think breaking certain outlines will help you get more convincing shapes. Don't hesitate to double check with references to see if you can get a good impression of what you're representing.

i don't understand what you're saying. what outlines? what references? i'm not representing a pig, he just has a pig nose.

i really don't want to take Delos in this direction.
