Also, regarding the actual content of the posts you linked, does Bayonetta's IP really belong to Sega or to Platinum Games? Wikipedia makes it sound like Bayonetta is entirely PG's baby, with Sega simply providing typical publisher assistance (kind of like how Spiral Knights belongs to Three Rings, even though it was made with support from Sega as the publisher (though now 3R belongs to Sega, so whatever lol)). If it really does belong to PG entirely, this guys comments end up being worse because it kind of insults PG.

Anyways, I think PG owns the IP, but without Sega to pay for things, there was no chance for a sequel, but I'm honestly not sure.

I hated when they had that teaser and it didn't end up being the kind of game it was teasing when it came out. Granted, I never played the game yet, I've only seen and heard about stuff, so maybe I'm judging too harshly.

As for the Bayonetta 2 debacle, I kind of get peeved when people go "You could EASILY have it this way or that way" when they don't have any idea what they're actually talking about. What's easy is to say it or think it, not necessarily to do it. Either there's work to be done that takes time and money, or there's contractual instances that prevent it from being released on more than one platform, or a bunch of other things that could get in the way.

This whole thing is reminding me that I still have yet to play Bayonetta. Also I'm kind of excited about the WiiU, I just don't think I could afford it.

Me and my brother intend to get the WiiU, preferably Premium (because we want the whole package) and preferably release date.
While we intend to get it with money we can make through part-time jobs (my brother) and commission work (me), my brother intends to use the very laptop I'm typing on right now as a trump card. He found out he can easily get the amount needed, so it's almost certain we will get it, no matter what, but let's hope we can amass the finances required without having to resort to selling our stuff.
Me, I'm sorta hyping for NSMBU, though Boost Mode (not Boost Rush) can go suck itself. My brother is pumped for the release of MH3U, which is the whole reason he is willing to sacrifice his laptop. MHTri was amazing, and he really hoped for MH3 for 3DS (with the explosive goo monster on the cover) to be released outside Japan, but when hope was lost for that, the announcement of MH3U got us, especially him, pumped.
We are also looking folward to TTT2. If I'm correct, Heihachi was shown wearing a Mario outfit. I couldn't see who was wearing the Luigi get-up, probably Kazuya. But it made me chuckle and looks awesome, though I'll probably play as characters back from the dead, like Angel and Kunimitsu.

Me and my brother, we are hyped for the Wii U.

EDIT: It seems you can dress up Tekken characters as Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Link, Zelda, Fox (though looks more like James from F-Zero) and Zero Suit Samus. Again, it's funny to see them dressed up like that, especially Heihachi as Mario.

I'm mad that Bayonetta is coming out on the Wii U. Not because it's not coming out on other things, just that it's coming out at all.

I had a grand total of zero hype for the new generation of consoles whatsoever and wasn't planning to get a Wii U at all, at least for quite a long while. As in, at least a year or more into release for some more games to come out.

Then Bayonetta 2 got confirmed as an exclusive and I have a reason to get it.

I'm still not buying the Wii U for just one game, but that definitely makes it more attractive.

I couldn't preorder mine at GameStop or Best Buy.

The local Toys R us was the only store left to preorder..and I got the second to last one.
I'm glad to see that the WiiU is having such an impact already. I don't think I have ever seen a console get wiped out of preorders that quickly.
From all of the information that I know of the WiiU, and what it's capable of, I think Nintendo will have a very promising and enriching future with this console.
