I find NSMBU better outside the recycled music (which is the game's only crime here). I've already died plenty of times in the various courses (though not enough to trigger the Super Guide yet). Most of my deaths so far is just as a result of Star Coin and secret exit hunting.
The Challenges mode is pretty interesting with a variety of challenge types from speed runs to how many 1-Ups you can get from stomping enemies without hitting the ground.
There is also Boost Rush mode which can be crazy once you get enough coins to trigger max speed which causes the scrolling stage to scroll very quickly. I need more practice to lower my 199 time on the Easy Pack. <.<;;
