Why the fuck is there not a Bloodborne thread?

Seriously, why isn't there one?

Anyway discuss the game here. Anything that's lore/story centered that goes past the first boss you should probably put in spoilers, so as not to ruin the experience of discovery for members who want to discover it all themselves. 

Who has it, who is enjoying it, etc. etc? 

So far I'm loving it, getting punished for simple mistakes most of the time and really enjoying the more aggressive AI this time around. At first I felt it was a bit too easy in boss difficulty but now that I'm around boss 5 or 6 I'm getting my ass handed to me and it is refreshing.

I like watching the Game Grumps play it up until watching them play i didn't really care. Now because I know how gratuitous the combat can be in the game I'm itching to play myself. I'm surprised there aren't just like a pleathora of Linkin park VGMV's with people's most eloquent kills. If I was 15 with time on my hands that's what I'd do after beating the game.

My brother got it, got crushed by an obese reaper, laughed, haven't seen him on it since. He's been on a netflix binge of some magic cop show so that might be why though.

I've been waiting to play it (didn't have the means to for a while), and now I've put about 4 hours or so into it in the past two days.

I'm about to finish my first playthrough. As soon as I realized I was on the approach of the final boss, I looked up stuff that was missable, since I didn't want to miss out on some stuff before NG+. Turns out I missed quite lot, and most I can't get until the next playthrough anyway.


I'd love to play co-op with somebody, especially for the chalice dungeons. We should also do Chalice Dungeon code exchanges in this thread in case any of us get dungeons with excellent loot.

I know the majority of the forum isn't into the From Software games, but I got the Old Hunters DLC last month and it is FANTASTIC.

I'm not going to spoil specifics about anything, but I'm going to give a breakdown about how much is new:

-around 10 new trick weapons (I forgot to count) which scale with a variety of builds. I'm particularly fond of the Bloodtinge weapon
-a variety of interesting sidearms, including a Gatling gun and a new shield
-new spells, one of which scales with bloodtinge instead of arcane.
-3 new areas of increasingly creepy design.
-5 new bosses who are so hard I only beat one of them solo so far. One reuses an old boss model, but the model is among my favorites and the new features of it are awesome.
-3 new Oath Runes, one for enhanced NPC summons and 2 that enhance the movesets of two specific weapons and change your hunter's appearance.
-Frightening new enemies and intriguing new NPCs.

If I weren't such a hardcore classic/obscure/weird game enthusiast, Bloodborne would probably be one of my main games. After watching the entire Game Grumps playthrough (including the DLC that they recently finished), I can tell it has a lot to offer.

pretty proud to have gone solo through the whole game and dlc with the hunter's axe
really wanted to capture my gameplay for the last boss of the dlc but uploaded it to find that only the last 30 seconds went through bummer

I tried, but just couldn't beat the last dlc boss solo with my build. I got frustrated and got an assist and finally completed it.

Then I went and beat the refusal and non-cord final boss without dying, though it took every bullet and vial I had and I almost lost.

THEN I got to Father Gascoigne and WRECKED him for the first time ever. He's one of the hardest bosses in the game without high bloodtinge, but with it softcapped and a maxed out Evelyn I was visceral attacking him so much that I got him down to one hit before he went second phase and I just killed him with a tap.

It probably helps that the DLC requires you to be beyond NG+ standards for the base game.
